The town of Mannheim should not be overlooked when planning your Germany vacation. Mannheim is located in Baden-Wuerttemberg and has about 320.000 inhabitants. On the first view, the town looks like a usual industrial city that has not much to offer. But don't pass your judgement too quick. There's a lot more behind Mannheim but factories and industry.

The town of Mannheim offers numerous leisure facilities like the Luisenpark - voted one of the most beautiful park areas in Europe - and tremendous museums of history and art. Above all, the open-mindedness of the citizens of Mannheim allows new arrivals to feel at home real quick. No wonder, Mannheim is one of the most multicultural cities of Germany.

Mannheim also offers cultural highlights like the Water Tower - the town's landmark - and the Palace of Mannheim -  the historical residence of electors Karl Philipp and Karl Theodor. The town also benefits from its convenient location. Many travel destinations and recreation areas like Ladenburg, Schwetzingen or Heidelberg are only a stone's throw away.
