Stralsund Sea Museum Ozeaneum - Since July 2008 Stralsund hosts a fantastic sea museum housing over 7000 creatures of the underwater world. In 39 giant aquariums, the environment of the ocean is simulated to get an terrific image of underwater life.

From salmons, herrings, pike and other schooling fish to lobsters, sharks and fish of prey, the Stralsund Sea Museum has an incredible variety of living ocean creatures. Due to the modern aquarium construction, the visitor is always in front of what's happening. An amazing experience for young and old as well.

Another highlight is a special exhibition showing impressive natural imitations of giant ocean creatures like the blue whale or the sperm whale. The blue whale is about 26 metres (85 Feet) long. There is also a multimedia show with whale songs the whale use to detect their prey underwater.
